One founder, one focus.
Smartech Labs is run by Luca Fadda, an Italian developer who has been shipping software since 2014 and now focuses on AI systems, automation, and bespoke integrations for teams that ship.
Why solo, by design.
I started writing code in 2014 as a freelance e-commerce consultant, doing everything from WordPress sites to automation scripts for small businesses. Over the years, the work got more complex — SaaS tools, APIs, data pipelines, and eventually full AI agents running in production.
In 2020 I founded Smartech as a legal entity, but kept working solo. Not because I can't scale to a team, but because the agencies I was watching scale were losing the one thing that made small work great: direct contact with the person who actually builds.
Today Smartech Labs is intentionally small. I take on three to five projects at a time. For larger scopes I bring in vetted collaborators — designers, additional devs, specialists — on specific phases, always keeping delivery lead with me. This means you always know who's writing your code, who's on the call, and who's accountable when something needs to move fast.
12 years of shipping.
Three things we never compromise.
Production-first
Every system we build is designed to run in production from day one. No "demo-only" code that breaks when real load hits.
Radical clarity
Scope, timeline, cost — defined upfront. No hidden complexity, no "we'll see." If we can't estimate it, we don't promise it.
Direct access
You talk to the person building your system. Not an account manager, not a project coordinator — the developer who wrote the code.
Have a system to build?
Discovery calls are the fastest way to see if we're a fit. No pressure, no sales funnels.
